One diner described a generous dipping broth filled with bean sprouts, menma, spring onion and roast pork—a welcome choice if you like finding plenty of toppings in the broth as well as enjoying the noodles. The tsukemen, served with a seafood-flavoured broth to bring out the noodles’ own taste, costs 830 yen. Some diners have enjoyed its combination of 240 g of medium-thin straight noodles and a broth packed with toppings. For a different flavour or combination of toppings, try the sesame tsukemen with mildly spicy sesame sauce for 940 yen, or the meat tsukemen, served with plenty of meat and spring onion, for 1,050 yen.
For a bowl served in broth, the miso ramen with plenty of vegetables is another option. The “Plenty of Vegetables Miso” costs 810 yen and suits those looking for a bowl centred on vegetables and miso. One diner had it with yellow egg noodles, while another said the chewy, thick noodles went well with the soup.
To add something alongside your noodles, try the grilled gyoza, which the menu describes as a Machiya original, for 380 yen. The menu highlights its juicy meat filling, generous vegetables and carefully made wrapper; diners have also remarked on the dumplings’ size and crisp skins. At lunchtime, some noodle dishes can be paired with half a portion of fried rice for an additional 320 yen, an easy way to make lunch more substantial. One diner described the fried rice as light and fluffy, with a pronounced black-pepper flavour. It is another option if you would like rice alongside your noodles and gyoza.
